Ciara Whiting-Founder/Coach

Ciara began skating as a teenager and quickly discovered how grounding, regulating and confidence-building the sport can be. Alongside her creative background as an actor and writer, she has years of experience working with children and young people with SEND, behavioural needs and neurodivergence.

Her work in SEN schools, alternative provision, and one-to-one behaviour support has shaped her commitment to creating safe, empowering spaces for young people who don’t thrive in mainstream settings.

Living with Tourette’s herself, Ciara brings personal insight into emotional regulation, sensory needs and the importance of non-judgemental environments. She is trained in trauma-informed practice, emotional regulation support and positive behaviour strategies.

Ciara founded The Push Project to give young people a positive outlet, a sense of identity, and a community outside the pressures of street culture. Her sessions combine skateboarding fundamentals with calm, supportive coaching that helps students build confidence, focus and resilience.

Adrian-Skateboarding coach/youth worker

Adrian has been skateboarding for over a decade and brings five years of dedicated coaching experience to Project Push. He has worked with children and young people from all backgrounds in youth centres, schools, and local parks, creating safe, encouraging spaces where they can express themselves and build confidence.

With his calm, grounded style (and natural “cool factor”), Adrian connects instantly with at-risk youth. His approach helps young people discover identity, resilience, and community through skateboarding — meeting them where they are and guiding them forward with patience, skill, and genuine care.
